How do the three levels differ?
Free tools give a first view. The handbook explains the decision method. Professional provides three deeper online tools, the detailed Excel workbook and operational resources.
How do the handbook and Professional work together?
The handbook explains the decision method. Professional Tools provide the models to apply it to your own operation. The handbook has its own Paperback and Kindle purchase route.
Can I buy the handbook on Amazon?
The final Amazon link is not available yet. The handbook page will activate it when the editions are published.
How do I purchase Professional?
Contact Operational Reference for the purchase and licence details. Online checkout is not active. Access codes and delivery are handled individually.
Which Professional tools are online?
Full Workload Calculator, True Cost Model and the full 50-Point Audit. The workbook also contains equipment sizing, linen PAR and loss, supplier comparison, KPI tracking, procurement and supporting dashboards.
Are there online accounts or automatic saving?
There is no online account or saved analysis history. Calculations run in your browser. Download a scenario file or print your audit to retain it. Explicit workload transfer uses this browser tab only.
Can I change the Excel inputs?
Yes. Input cells are editable. Formula cells are protected against accidental changes. This is reasonable protection, not a promise that a file cannot be copied.
What does the audit score mean?
It summarises the controls you assessed. In Professional, risk weights and category results help prioritise gaps. A high-risk gap can matter more than a high overall percentage.
Are updates automatic?
No. Downloads & Updates records the current version. Any future versions available under your licence will be listed there; no fixed schedule is promised.
Was AI used?
Yes. AI supported research, editing and tool development. Source handling, assumptions and the calculation method are described in the publication and resources.
Can I share the Professional resources?
Use is limited to the purchaser or the organisation expressly named in the order. Do not redistribute, resell or publish the resources or share access outside that scope.
Do the tools specify machinery or guarantee a result?
They provide decision support. Technical design and machine specifications require project-specific work with suitable professionals and suppliers. Savings and operating results are not guaranteed.
